Hi I'm Parrot Bill, I've been into birds all my life and have more years experience than I would sometimes like to admit loving and caring for parrots. My EXOTIC BIRD SHOW is used to educate people & demonstrate the intelligence & problem solving abilities these wonderful birds possess through the tricks that they perform. We do this with hopes that people will walk away with a new love and respect for these beautiful creatures. We also hope through education & public awareness to spur an interest in people, to make some effort toward helping to save the habitat in the Rain Forest to insure their future existence in the wild.
My Birds seem to have a much stronger bond towards me, since I've discovered training tricks & behaviors. The enrichment from this is so much better Training Sessions have turned more into Play Sessions. Face it...it sure beats the heck out of sitting on a perch all day and gives them something to look forward to. Parrots love to be stimulated & challenged intellectually and destroying chewy toys only affords limited stimulation.
Unfortunately due to what ever circumstances there may be, there are birds out there that need a new loving home. I have 25 years extensive experience with large Parrots, and have room for a few more large Macaws or Cockatoos in my show. If you plan to donate your bird, it will be well cared for, weighed & bathed everyday. It will be put on an excellent diet consisting of 60% fruits & vegetables 30% vita-mix seed & pellet diet with hard mixed nuts (still in the shell) and a vitamin supplement. It will spend at least 5 hours a day out of the cage playing, performing or learning new things to do. I don’t MAKE them do anything they decide when they are ready to learn, and I let them pick out the props they want to work with. They learn much faster if it's something that they show an interest in. I promise to give your bird (if you should decide to donate it) a good stable home and a happy & full life. I promise NOT to sell it, put it into a breeding program or pass your bird onto anyone else.
When you think about it, many people turn their pets over to rescue groups who in turn try to find a good home for it and sometimes fail and have to retrieve the bird back and try again. You can avoid all of that stress by placing it directly with me and watch my web site gallery for pictures of your Parrot's progress. But hurry, there's very limited room for a few lucky birds. We live in Tallahassee, Florida, we can make arrangements for pickup, or if you’re to far away to travel I'm willing to pay the air bill to have it shipped.
